Midnight of 22nd Jan 2007.
After closing, Maz and I left for our journey home. Dad was already going to pick me up at LT Taxi Stand. Then Maz and I went off in opposite directions, she towards MRT, while i was about to cross over to LT. There i was, peering at the road side on the curb, when i somehow just slipped. As flexible as I was, i knew my right ankle just turned in WAY too far. Then i just lay there by the road side, anguishing in pain. This sudden rush of nauseating feeling and cold sweat just ran through my veins and up to my brain. I felt so weak, i almost fainted and puked. Like duh, it was midnight but there were people. And true enough, nobody helped. They all walked and looked, but nobody help. DAMMIT SG! I just laid there like a "freakin' drunkard" when i was actually in immense pain for like 5 min. Then i thought,"Oh fuck it, i can get up" So i did. I stood up, only to fall down again. Then it came down on me,"I could have broken something in there!" So there i crawling my way to safety, so buses and cabs wont knock me down. I got close to the ground near the thai embassy and just laid there. "How am i supposed to get over to LT and Dad didnt even answer my call!!!?" SO i sent him an SOS sms. He finally found me at the bus stop, walking like a trampled deer. Then all i could do was plonk myself on the back seat and try to compose myself. The min i got home, i tried to shower, in pain, then i just got to bed. In my dreams, haha, i was walking and i was doing my dance routine like we had that Sun afternoon, only to get up and slap myslef that im looking at my screwed up ankle. So grandma walked in. Took some ointment and said a little prayer and started massaging the area a little. Well, it was a little but i was already crying my eyes out cos it was so freakin painful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So i showered then, in pain, again, then had a little breakfast so i wouldnt puke if the doc would press on it. Then i headed to the clinic. After an hour plus, in i went, he took one look, "Oh thats really bad, let's see how the other foot moves." So he made me rotate and twist my good one, then the bad one." Ok so its a torn ligament. Nothing fractured. It's a bad tear though. Will take a few days, but it will heal by itself, as long as you don't walk too much. Elevate and rest a lot. MC - 2 days" (What the@?@ MC 2 days only?!)
So there he taught me how to bandage it. Nothing else given but pain killers. Got home, too some lunch and watched some TV till i slept. Oh gosh to sit for hours is BORING.
Look im in pain and i can hardly walk properly let alone dance. I had to tell the girls. This Sat training will be a little diff though. I might not be able to train them. Yas would have to do it for me. She agreed. This is sad. Full recovery would take me 6 months. So the day passed and gone.

Its Tues afternoon now, 340pm. Just propped my leg up on the com desk while typing this at the same time. See? I AM flexible. That's why im so sad that my ankle could have gone in way too far. Called Bibik this morning, and asked her what can i do to further help myslef. A masters in nursing and a certified surgeon, she is the only one who can really help. No massaging, no exerting, no warm foot baths. Just cold compress, light conditioning exercise and up my intake of fruits and vege. That would help in healing and building up the collagen to support the tear :) otherwise, there is nothing else i can do :( bummer. Going to the doc later to review my ankle and extend my MC. I don't give a damn. How can i care for the kids if i can't walk let alone balance myself?!?
I miss the kids. I miss Chris, they miss me! How sweet. Oh well, gotta go get ready now. Sorry girls i can't train you guys to dance for a while. But i know you'll do great. Not bad for the first day :)

21:00

Ok let's back track a little bit. Gonna be a long entry so here goes. Been tired to go online these days cos........i had a fab fab fab family day over the weekend, and body's aching from all that running around. Ok so Fri i took leave from work and won't be back till only yesterday, (thank god) then i stayed home and prepared some stuff for our Annual DFD. That's Din Family Day. ( Din is the name of my late grandfather) :( So yeah it was so exciting cos we never had it for the past 3 years since late grandma got really sick, then she passed on, then grandpa too, then he passed on too. So this would be a good start to a fresh good year with everyone. We had our monthly kenduri, special that night, cos it was atuk's 2 years since he left. That was pretty sad. Then we gathered everyone and had a good dinner, then off to the chalet. No fair, when dad and i reached the place, we got sabo-ed with durian cream cake. YUCK> I Hate durians! That was awful i had to shower and wash my hair again! That first night was mostly prep work for the morning games and activities we would have. Thanks to me, shasha, addiq, didi, bro, and abg shazli. We had a good first night, all of us played our first game, Scrabble, and stayed up till 4am, talking and stuff. Then morning came, almost everyone was there except for a few others who had to work in the morning. I was on the Orange team. It was great, everyone was decked in their team colours, Orange, Gray, Red and Black, along with accessories, like bandannas, shiny wigs, head band and mini pom poms. Team names were unique too! Haha :) Apparently, like we already predicted, every team would be 2-3 man down. Reason? ...pregnant, work, can't make it back to Singapore, or injury. Oh well, head start anyway. TO THE GAMES>>> 815am, We started out with Boggle, then Jenga which was really funny and "gan-chiong-ing" (i know there isnt such a word but im trying to say how the game was ;) , then outdoors for our relay races, then our friendly Volley match, with makeshift poles and badminton netting, which i must say was really impressive. We played...really competitively. Park goers looked on like thinking which organisation were we from :) Cos there were loads of us. 35 members in the morning already. More on the way. It was really funny cos of all the kecoh-ness that was happening. Then we had the semi, then finals. Anyway, for volley, my team was last. Dad was in the red team. They were second, then mom's team, gray, was the champs. :(
Somehow, the high spirits everyone was on, kept us going for our next game. Amazing Race. My goodness it WAS amazing. Shasha and friends had apparently made flags and clues for this all around the park and chalet! That got everyone started on the first clue to fix a puzzle. Then somehow, 1 group got it first, then someone else saw, then everyone started running! It was like a scene from a MAJOR SALES CROWD> It was hilarious. We were all running in one direction laughing and screaming, then ALL of us ran to the left to go onwards our next clue destination. Well, what can i say, the game kept everyone on their toes and their throats too, one member from each team was supposed to crunch up some fried mealworms and gulp down grasswater. Thank god it wasn't me. EEuu. What can i say, the clues were really challenging, the adrenaline was good, and so was the team spirit. After that game, oh dear, was it awful. Everyone ached and tried to breathe and some had shoes that broke, (mine), and slippers that were utterly useless. So the sun started beaming. WAS WAY TOO HOT, so we all stayed in to rest. Planned to go back out for Rounders and Quiz Game by 1pm, but by then some already started dozing off in the warm afternoon sun. Oh well, why not, after all that running around. Then the others started coming...(the MIA ones in the am). So we made some food prep for Shasha's 21st birthday bash which we were gonna have at 6pm. After 3hrs and 30min, by 430pm, the weather cooled down. We had our Quiz Game on the porch first. Hey nobody took my History Category! Everyone took Family, Fun or Food categories. Pah! Its ok, next time i put only 2 choices...wahahahah....Then that over, out we go again. Yeah great weather, not too hot. Breeze is good. So Rounders was on. Looking at the scoresheet from our first games till then, everyone tengah bising sebab scores tak tally lah, apa, lah macam2 kerenah. Wow, its really getting competitive here :) Then rounders went on. It was a good game, despite some bad strikes and pitching from the usual few. Haha. I did pretty good. Bro was such a goofball throughout all games we had. So, who won this one? Red. Pah! Game over, then it began lookin a little cloudy. Then it drizzled on us. We packed up headed back to our chalet cos it looked like it was going to rain even more despite the sun still shining. As i turned around to pick up some stuff, i looked over at the sea, and there i saw a BEAUTIFUL rainbow. It was really vivid. Like as if it came out from the big ship that was at it's end. Somehow, some park goers got their hp and cameras out and took pictures.
So back at the chalet, some of us who didnt play, started to prep. and bbq the foods for Shasha's guests who will be arriving in no time. Smells really good. Had loads of chicken, stingray, mackerel, satay, salad, noodles, rice....wow....divine. It was a family teamwork now. Teamwork on the field and off. haha...By 730pm, the food was ready and the guests have arrived....The little ones (our nephews below 1yr old) were charming everyone with their beautiful eyes and smiles and giggles. Then the kids were running around and playing on their scooters and balloons. Then the teenagers were yapping away, on their guitars, playing a fool on each other, teasing their moms and everyone else. Hmph, teens! So the itenary for the party would start off with a costume parade. Well, that was interesting. Half of us participated. There were all sorts of characters , i couldn't believe myself, that we could be sooooo into it. There was Jack-Jack (the baby from the Incredibles), Cikgu Bedah, Chef Guy and Chef Gay, Scary Movie ghost, Gothic Chicken, Morticia Addams, Goth Girl, Powerpuff Girls and Professor X, Mat Thailand, Lil Japanese Girl, Lil Puteri Gunung Ledang, Prata-Man, Boy Meets Woman, Nenek Kebayan, Wizard Boy of Germany, Surfer dude/Red Indian Hybrid, Weird Couple, Bunny Lady, Crab Woman, X-Dresser High School "Girl" and Tissue Box Head. It was hilarious, we sashayed on the little path we had all to ourselves and the people from the chalets around us looked on and smiled along. It was great fun! Within 45min, all of us couldnt take the heat anymore and we changed. I left my "moustache" on by accident and some of my cousins loved their wigs they had on for the night. We all then had a little "Auction" session. Everyone who came including us, had paper money Shasha and Co, printed for us. We a "bidded" on the silliest items on outrageously high prices, thats cos we all got too excited that we wanted to outdo everyone else. All the items (which were concealed in a brown paper bag!!) started off as 5 "bucks" then Daus raised 125 everytime someone else bidded 25 and above. So funny. So obviously, some of them ended wasting 450"bucks" on a pacifier, marshmallow, an empty box, and a balloon which was earlier used as boobs for the costume party. My cousins and i put our money together and we bidded the same price, we got Sony Earphones, then a big bar of chocolate. Woo.... Better right? It go really noisy and everyone was laughing and all. Then we were done with it and got the cake out. Sang some songs, hugs and kisses for the dear girl, then gifts galore. Lookin at that, I wish i was 21 again! :) Everyone had cake, and some on their faces.... :)
The whole night was fun. It was great in fact. After all that eating, small talk and gift giving, some said their goodbyes and left. some of us stayed for the last night. Which i did. We cleaned up the place together. Felt so crappy eating so many kinds of foods, i took out TWISTER< Hey let's have a great game k? It was already past midnite. So we played on. Got tangled, twisting and turning. Then holding on for dear "balance" so as not to lose in the game. That was a good workout too. Me, Addiq and some of us were sweating cos we laughed so hard while keeping our balance and looking for available spots :) Well, yeah so we didn't sleep till almost 5am. So Sunday morning was spent cleaning up and leaving together. At home we spent it snoozing.... Birthday girl was happy. Everyone was tired but we had lots of fun and was happy most of the time. We'll see each other in a month's time ok? As always...................

Hey, it's a wee bit late huh. Yeah have not been updating cos had too many on my mind. Anyways...........eve of NY was great. Went rock climbing with dear ol Anna, met some new friends but didnt really want to cos they were all guys, but we chatted with one of the guy's kid sister. Liyana. She's nice. And pretty good too. So the day started pretty good. Nervous but it went well. 10-5pm of climbing lessons AND theory was so fun. Was my first time really climbing such a wall, it was ....GREAT. Tu lah, never go Karate training anymore, so i realised my fitness was going down...But the whole feeling of your body aching and all that stretching and climbing. But it's all worth it. Then some more Anna dearest ajak gi shopping and jalan2 after that. OMG. Ok since she's going back to Germany this month, and i won't see her for the next god knows how many years :( , why not. We had fun. Talked and window shopped all the great brands. Then we had pretty good food at Cedele....OOOOOOOO....Well, what can i say, halfway into dinner, we both felt our bodies starting to ache. Then we laughed it off. We went around some more to look for gifts, then decided, it's been a LONG day. Headed home, now my shoulder and arms are already killing me. Seriously you could feel your whole body toning up. It's GREAT, sorry i keep saying GREAT but it IS! Why didn't i do this ages ago?!!?! I love the pain of sports! Like they say, no pain, no gain. Im going again tomorrow!!!!!!!!! Can't wait.
So today school started, but the kids didn't come in yet. Except adorable Tatum with her cute mini and top. She is so cute. I love that girl. Then Nico came an hour later. He started singing and talking to himself, then somehow Tatum sang Happy Birthday......to nobody :) She gave me lotsa hugs and asked to be carried a lot, so there goes my aching back. So nothin much at work today. Bore, really. We just put some stuff down from the walls for Fri. But Fri im on leave till Mon---->cos it's the annual Din Family Day...So those at work, good luck people :) I'd rather enjoy myself with my family and WHOLE lotta relatives and cousins for Shuzzy's 21st bday. I bet it's gonna be very ,very cool. Oh gosh, i have not made out our game list and her present! DIE> ok ok i gotta go. Don't have much time left whooops....Oh. Happy 2007. May i achieve my goals/ resolutions that i set YEARS ago. Pah!
